Crochet puppy hat

Are you sick of all our crochet posts yet? I hope not.... because there are still more to come! We do have some other stuff lined up too though, so stay tuned!

I made this hat for baby Jack, who also received the blanket here. My friend Lindsay is a big dog lover; their dog Levi is an integral part of their family. So when I decided to make a character hat I knew a puppy would be my choice.

I followed this crochet puppy hat pattern by Repeat Crafter Me. If you are in need of a crochet pattern, you seriously need to check out Sarah's blog. She has SO many great free patterns and they are really well written with lots of different size options. Some of my favourites are the crochet Rudolph hat, crochet rain boots (these are definitely getting made soon!), and the crochet lamb hat.

I made the 3-6 month pattern so it would fit Jack when the weather turns a bit cooler. I used Vanna's Choice yarn as suggested with a 5.00 mm hook.

At some point I hope to actually share a picture of a baby wearing a hat I've made! Haha hopefully sometime!

Do you have any suggestions for great animal hat patterns? Would love to hear if you do!

How about a kitty hat? Or one with frog eyes where the dog ears are?
