I have had some yarn sitting in my stash for awhile just waiting to be made into something. When ChiWei from One Dog Woof decided to do a crochet-along for the month of February, I knew I had found the project for my yarn!
The project for the month was a v-stitch cowl, using one of ChiWei's own patterns. Since the yarn I was planning on using, Wool-Ease Thick and Quick, was already so bulky, I did not double my yarn as the pattern suggested.
This was a relaxing pattern to crochet, and it was quite possible the fastest scarf I have ever finished! I managed to complete it in one short sitting.
Stella always likes to jump in my photo shoots! Thanks so much for hosting the crochet-along ChiWei!
Aww, your cat is so cute! And I love your work! I am still "fighting" with my first scarf. :)
ReplyDeleteA great CAL! I did a cowl using Wool-Ease Thick and Quick at Christmas and it was SO satisfying as it worked up so quickly. If that was my cat in the picture, the cowl would be on the paw and ready to be played with!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great on you! One of these days I WILL learn to crochet.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love chunky yarn, because projects whip up so fast. This scarf looks so cozy.
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful and warm! I love your self portrait! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I also love that thick yarn, it looks so soft.
So cute! I'm doing her crochet along too . . . but I don't have pictures to show for it yet :-) It looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteLooks great !! This has been fun...I've never used the v-stitch before and love it!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I have some of that yarn in my stash I should try to make one with it!
ReplyDeleteI like it in the bulky yarn. Looks great!
