meet.make.laptop cozy.

After a coworker told me her story of spilling wine on her brand new laptop, I decided YES, it's time for a cover.
As us crafty girls often ask ourselves "why buy one...when you can MAKE one".

After Steph and I made the Granny Square Pillows for the Crochet-a-long project, I have become obsessed with the look and formation of Granny Squares!

I decided I wanted to try something a little different, so I came across this crochet pattern for Flower Squares! I easily created the magic loop to start, but then found the pattern just a little confusing for me... Next stop, YOU TUBE!

Luckily I was able to find a step-by-step guide by bobwilson123 that read through the exact same pattern. Perfect!

Once one square was made, I breezed through the rest. I decided to make six flower squares (enough to cover the laptop). They look good enough to eat! Weird?

See! So simple, and just oh so very girly.

From here, I attached the flowers together using the Single Crochet Method for the front of the cozy.
For the back, I simply started with a crocheted chain just slightly longer than the length of my laptop and continued with double crochet until the width was covered. Adding in an accent of neon pink and yellow just a little off centre for fun!

Stich the two sides together, and you've got your self a cozy my friends!
