meet.make.pillow cases.

Pillows to a couch are like shoes to an outfit. They compliment and complete the look. A great staple pair can be worn with a variety of outfits but with normal wear and tear, they start looking used and abused. A pair of new shoes can make you feel and/or look like a new person (for us women... or me, at least!).

Unfortunately, I am not an experienced sewer and our couch was in dire need of some new "shoes." Fortunately, good ol' Pinterest has a solution for everything! I followed the steps from Organize and Decorate Everything and bought 1.5 meters of a solid and patterned cotton fabric (on sale!).

As I have yet to learn how to sew more than a button on pants, this method was perfect. This project took a total of 20 min where 15 of them was spent walking to and from the fabric store. There's no good reason NOT to try this?! My thoughts exactly...

Any other easy peasy ideas to help refresh decor without spending a ton of time or money, are more than welcome :)

  3. Those pillows got a serious upgrade - well done!
I can sew, but am THE WORST when it comes to finishing projects. I get to about 95% and get bored, haha. These 5 min projects would hopefully be better, lol.
I always like painting cheap canvases and decorating my walls that way. You get colour without having to commit too long or asking a landlord.
It's my first visit here, I'm going to check out some more posts!
    Happy Friday!
