meet.make.spiced blackberry mojito.

Whether you're a mojito lover or not, we are pretty sure you will L.O.V.E this drink. We chose blackberries by default as the raspberries and strawberries were sold out. Not knowing what to expect, we completely winged it and were left wanting more!

We are now are converted to the dark-berry side. We might be on to something here...

A tasty effortless, fool-proof drink for us amateur bartenders out there!

For one pitcher:
juice of two to three limes
heaping handful of mint leaves
1/3 cup sugar
12 juicy blackberries (and some extras just to eat!)
lots of ice
6 oz spiced rum
club soda

Muddle lime juice, mint, sugar and blackberries in bottom of pitcher. Fill pitcher with ice. Add rum and fill soda to top. Garnish with mint leaves and serve.

We paired this tasty cocktail with our fig, brie and prosciutto bites..... it was a winning combination.

That pitcher got finished much too quickly...make sure you buy extra ingredients because you are going to want round two!

  5. This drink looks fabulous! I love mojitos. I have regular rum at home and I have a mint leave plant. All I'm missing are the berries and limes. Thanks for sharing on Marvelous Mondays!
