meet.make.szechuan green beans.

A girly get-together was in order, so we took a trip to one of favourites, Moxies. But while skimming over the menu, we found out that they no longer offered one of our favourite sharing dishes.... the szechuan green beans!

However this disappointment spurred our creative DIY mentality, and we were determined to make our own version to fill this void.

After searching the internet for a szechuan sauce recipe that tickled our fancy, we decided to take the easy route and just buy a bottled sauce! There was not time to waste - we needed our fix. Next time though, we may try coming up with our own, as this one ended up being a touch too salty. Even for us!

What we used:
Green Beans
Szechuan Sauce
Sesame Seeds
Red Chili Flakes
Olive Oil
TBSP Sugar

What we did:
1. Heat sautee pan on medium high heat
2. Olive oil to cover pan
3. Place in green beans and cook until desired crispiness
4. Saute beans in Szechuan sauce and sesame seeds
5. Add sugar and chili flakes to taste
6. Serve and enjoy!

This makes one great side dish, but can also work as an appetizer for your next Ladies Night In! A real crowd pleaser and belly-filler!
