meet.make.crochet bride luggage tag.
Today I have a fun little pattern to share with you! One of my closest friends recently got engaged, and decided she is going to have a destination wedding in Mexico. I wanted to send her a little something to commemorate the occasion, so I decided to make a luggage tag that she could attach to her wedding dress bag when she goes on the plane!

meet.make.boutineers.
A few months ago my lovely new sister-in-law Julia asked me to make some boutineers for their wedding. She didn't want to go the traditional flower route, and so I picked up some burlap, ribbon, jute cord and pearls to make something a little different!
After many failed attempts, I finally came up with something I liked! I cut the burlap into circles, stiffened them with hairspray, and then added different accents to each one.

meet.make.wedding backdrop.
For our wedding, I was searching for something simple and fitting for our ceremony backdrop. After hours of trolling through Pinterest and many, MANY different ideas, the idea of the lace curtain was created.

meet.make.wedding: framed lyrics.
If you hadn't figured out already, my life tends to revolve around music. Certain songs can take you back to your favourite summer, snowboarding in Jasper or maybe even... your first kiss!
For our wedding, I really wanted to encorporate some of Kyle and my "songs" to share with others, and maybe get our guests to think of some of theirs as well!

meet.make.bridesmaid dress DIY.
After all the planning it is hard to believe Hayley's wedding is finally over! The happy couple are off galavanting on their honeymoon and having a grand ol' time I'm sure.
When Hayley asked us to be bridesmaids, we were so excited that we got to be part of the day. She decided on Navy for the dress colour, but then told us we could find any dress we like. After browsing on the internet for awhile, I decided on this dress from Modcloth.
I liked the shoulder detail on the dress, but didn't feel it was appropriate for the wedding. Time to make a few changes!

It happened! Hayley tied the knot!
After lots of anticipation and planning, Hayley has officially become a MRS!
Her and Kyle tied the knot on Saturday, and it was a beautiful and amazing celebration that reflected the couple perfectly. We thought we would share a few instagram photos but the professional ones will come later so make sure to stop by again!

meet.make.wedding: Hayley's Bridal Shower #2
Last month, we decided to hold a second bridal shower for Hayley out here in Victoria. Her first shower was back home in Edmonton, and unfortunately we were not able to attend the festivities.

meet.make.bachelorette bridal sash.
For Hayley's bachelorette, we planned a masquerade themed night out checking out the best of Whistler's nightlife. We wanted the lovely bride to have something special to mark the occasion but didn't want to put a traditional veil on her head or make her wear any tacky bachelorette duds, so we decided on a vintage looking bride sash!

meet.make.masquerade masks.
Everyone coming had to bring their own mask, and we took advantage of an opportunity to get together and craft! We found basic masks in a local boutique, and then stopped by the dollar store, as well as raided our craft bin, to come up with some decorative accents.

Trip to Whistler - Hayley's Bachelorette Party
Last weekend the three of us, along with seven other lovely friends, headed to Whistler to celebrate Hayley's last couple months as a single lady! Cindy and Steph, along with the two other bridesmaids Brandi and Casey, had a blast planning and prepping for a weekend of fun and shenanigans.
The weekend turned out even better than planned, and was full of everything that makes up the best ladies weekend: great company, great food, the spa, the ski hill, and perhaps a drink or two...

meet.make.wedding: Hayley's Bridal Shower
In January, I had the privilege of travelling back to the prairies and being surrounded by some of my most favourite ladies. What for your ask? It was my BRIDAL SHOWER!!
My family really made the event so incredibly special, and I wanted to share some of their AMAZING details of the day!
First off, how pretty are the invitations!? My cousin Codie and aunties Judy and Barb originally asked for the theme of the wedding, the colours, and then really ran with the ideas. Navy and Peach are our wedding colours! Yup, I'm thinking they look pretty good together.
