Hey everyone! It's been a while - we've missed you!

You may have noticed, we have not been around at all the past 4 months. As much as we have loved this lil' ol' blog, it just has not fit into our lives this past while...

A little life update on the 3 of us...

Where did summer go?

Wow! As usual, summer is just flying by us! And what a summer it's been!!

We have been a little MIA around the blog as of late... with vacations, camping trips, weddings, and just SO MANY BABIES, we'll admit it's been a little difficult to schedule a Ladies Night In!

Our DIY projects during these lovely months have been revolving around BABY crafts.

So while Cindy 'crafted' baby Nell, Hayley and Steph have been making a lot of baby gifts which we are hoping to continue sharing with you very soon. 

So stay tuned! The updates are on the way!

It's a girl!!

We are so excited to announce that on Thursday, August 1st at 6:10 pm Cindy gave birth to a BEAUTIFUL baby girl weighing 7 lbs 14 oz! Mom and babe are doing great, and get to come home from the hospital today. 

Cindy and Josh have named her Nell, which suits her so much! We are the proudest aunties ever. To welcome her home.... we thought we would put a little decoration up!

Cheers to the freakin' weekend!

Guess what? IT'S A LONG WEEKEND! WOO! 

Here in Canada we have ourselves a 3 day weekend.... and we have a lot of fun things planned to keep us entertained. This mayyyyy include some crafty ideas that we are looking forward to sharing with you. I mean c'mon, what's a long weekend without picking up the crochet hooks and glue guns? 

We kicked it off with some tasty beverages... cheers to the freakin' weekend! For all you Canadians out there, have a very happy Canada day on Monday! 

meet.make.mail exchange.

When Claire from clairebellemakes contacted us about doing a mail exchange, we were super excited. Having never done a mail exchange before, we thought it would be really fun! 

Claire lives in Cambridge, which is literally on the other side of the world from us here on Vancouver Island. How excited were we to receive a parcel with a stamp saying "Royal Mail"? Haha we don't get that around here very often! 

Though we were looking forward to receiving a parcel, it was also really fun to put together a package for Claire. Our goal was to put together a bit of Canadiana to send. To see what we ended up mailing, check out her post here!

The big 3-0.....

The day has arrived....... HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY CINDY! 

29 was a big year for Cindy. She got a new job, she and her husband Josh moved, and she got knocked up! She may have also partaken in lots of crafty fun with the ladies as well, which can be eventful too... right? 

29 will be nothing compared to 30 though, because a baby is on the way! And how perfect is it to be 30 weeks pregnant on your 30th birthday? 

So to our dear friend Cindy - wishing you the most amazing birthday and a wonderful and exciting year to come! Love ya! 

meet.make.wedding: Hayley's Bridal Shower #2

Last month, we decided to hold a second bridal shower for Hayley out here in Victoria. Her first shower was back home in Edmonton, and unfortunately we were not able to attend the festivities.

Cindy and Josh had some big news recently.....

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We hope you are having a green-filled day with friends and are perhaps enjoying a Guinness or two! 

We are currently making some changes to the meet.make.laugh. layout (hopefully for the better) so bare with us if things are a little wonky for awhile. 

We would love your feedback so let us know what you think of the changes. We are attempting to do this ourselves without the help of a professional.... not quite sure yet if this is a good idea or not. Fingers crossed!

With these changes you are going to see some new photos popping up of the three of us (like the one above). Thanks so much to the lovely Katherine for spending the morning with us capturing some fun memories!

Trip to Whistler - Hayley's Bachelorette Party

Last weekend the three of us, along with seven other lovely friends, headed to Whistler to celebrate Hayley's last couple months as a single lady! Cindy and Steph, along with the two other bridesmaids Brandi and Casey, had a blast planning and prepping for a weekend of fun and shenanigans. 

The weekend turned out even better than planned, and was full of everything that makes up the best ladies weekend: great company, great food, the spa, the ski hill, and perhaps a drink or two...

And we're off!

We are up early and are heading to Whistler for a weekend of fun and laughs.... it's time for Hayley's bachelorette party! We are so excited to celebrate the amazing bride-to-be as well as catch up with some old friends.

meet.make.wedding: Hayley's Bridal Shower

In January, I had the privilege of travelling back to the prairies and being surrounded by some of my most favourite ladies. What for your ask? It was my BRIDAL SHOWER!! 

My family really made the event so incredibly special, and I wanted to share some of their AMAZING details of the day!

First off, how pretty are the invitations!? My cousin Codie and aunties Judy and Barb originally asked for the theme of the wedding, the colours, and then really ran with the ideas. Navy and Peach are our wedding colours! Yup, I'm thinking they look pretty good together.

Life is better with friends.

The three of us are currently held up in a coffee shop chatting away and enjoying a Saturday afternoon together. Planning some fun group nights, ideas for upcoming blog posts, and ladies nights in! 

It is a lot of fun creating this blog together, and sometimes we just need to take a step back and appreciate that:

'Tis the season of new year resolutions, so here are a few simple ones of ours!

meet.make.2012 round-up.

Since starting meet.make.laugh. in February of this year, the three of us really have had a lot of fun getting together and being creative. As much as we enjoy putting together projects and trying new things, what we take home from it is the excitement of getting to spend time with friends. This experience alone is often even better then the craft end result! 

Besides sharing our crafting ups and downs, we have really enjoyed getting to know some of you out there in blog world. We want to thank you very much for taking the time to visit our little corner of the internet and leaving comments....we really appreciate it and you!

With all the holiday festivities and fun, this post is a day late.. But without further ado:

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM MEET.MAKE.LAUGH.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas celebration surrounded by good company and of course, food! We sure did.

None of us travelled home for the holidays this year; a downfall of having chef and mechanic husbands working through the holidays. A benefit? The boys cook Christmas dinner while the ladies enjoy a few festive beverages! We love our little Island Family traditions, and enjoyed the wonderful evening!

We want to wish our wonderful friend a fabulous day full of sweet treats and surprises, and to take comfort in the fact that we are all getting old together :) We just got ID'ed the other day so we must be doing something right!
