meet.make.stud earrings.

Who would've thought that Home Depot would be our go to accessory store?! Probably not the marketing brand they are going for but for us DIY'ers, it's like being a kid in candy store.

With all the new spring colours out there, we thought we would add some punch to our wardrobes with these funky stud earrings. Where else can you get eight pairs of earrings for $5.

Thanks to In Honor of Design for inspiring this craft night and to Home Depot and Michaels for supplying us with our accessory needs.

A few tips we learned the hard way:
  • Don't buy Dollar Store nail polish
  • Careful not to get high off the fumes - the nail polish can get pretty potent
  • Make sure to put enough crazy glue when adding the backings
  • Need an earring holder to dry the studs - use toast! Just don't eat it after.

Get each lady to bring a few colours to get a fun assortment. Chrome was on of our favorite!

Wine, bread with oil and vinegar, and crafts...

We started off eating Danielle's freshly baked bread and then later discovered it's other function.

The finished product! Our DIY bling.

  13. Hi - I got some furniture buttons at Hobby Lobby that look similar to the ones you have above (a mushroom shape), but some of the ones you have pictured above in your supply pic look more flat, like they don't have that mushroom-y ridge. Is that correct, or is the picture fooling me? :) Thanks!
