meet.make.leather tassel keychain.

DIY Tassel Leather and Embroidery Thread Keychain

 My old keychain lately took a turn for the worst, and was ready to fall apart at any second. I figured it was high time to DIY a new one! 

Inspired by designlovefest, I decided to tackle a tassel keychain and put my own little twist on it. 

DIY Tassel Leather and Embroidery Thread Keychain Supplies

 Supplies:
  • Scrap leather
  • Embroidery thread
  • Scissors
  • Key chain ring
  • Pin to hold thread 
See steps below! 
Braid the embroidery thread

Cut leather to length of braids

Cut slits into leather piece

Fold leather over braids

Fold over key ring

Wrap long leather piece around and knot

I was so stoked with how this turned out - I love the look of the leather with the braids peeking through. Time to do one for my set of work keys as well!
