This night was about as testosterone filled as it could get. It included some intense poker playing, beer drinking, UFC watching and meat eating. BUT no one says it couldn't have been a ladies night, there just happened to be a lot of males there as well. Though we love our girly crafty nights, we of course enjoy hanging out with our boys!
Pat (Steph's husband) has been waiting for an opportune time to try out a recipe he found in a New York Times article, and it turned out this was the night.

Props to Pat for an amazing dinner. This pork was SO GOOD, we HAD to make a blog post out of it!
We dined, cheered for the fights, and didn't do so bad for our first real game of poker. I wonder how well the boys would keep up at one of our crafty nights?! ;)
P.S. Steph is in Germany right now cheering on Pat at the World Culinary Olmypics! Follow the action - Culinary Team Canada Blog. GO TEAM CANADA!
How FUN!! And the food... it sounds soooo delicious!
ReplyDeleteOh that looks like so much fun!! Off to check out the recipe now!
ReplyDeleteI love poker nights - and they're definitely not just for guys! Even though I don't eat meat, this recipe sounds like a good one for my boyfriend!
ReplyDeleteThe food looks delicious! Even though it wasn't a Ladies Night, it still looks like tons of fun (and I know all about the UFC watching too). =0)
