meet.make.baby blankets: part 4

Oh, hello again! Is this another addition to our baby blanket series you ask? Why yes it is!! I've got another one to share with you today. And while you're here, why not have a peak at my granny square blanket, and Steph's additions here and here!!
I think it is fair to say this was definitely the season on baby blankets. So for your enjoyment, here's the blanket I made for Cindy and baby Nell! Ps. Could she BE any cuter? :)
I loved the look of these colours together, and I thought they screamed Cindy :) And because Cindy and Josh didn't want to learn the gender of their little one until she was born, a neutral combination was the way to go!
I've had this pattern saved in my Ravelry account for awhile now, and decided this could make a great baby blanket for Nell. The blanket came together quickly, I could easily continue on without watching what I was doing (my perfect crochet project), and I really enjoy the creating the 'bobble stitch' for some reason! Anyone else??
As you may be able to tell, the lying flat, the blanket looks a little crooked.. I guess I got a little too distracted, because my stitching loosened (I was also on a time crunch so my pace picked up!! Babies don't wait until you finish a project! Who knew.. haha)

When completed, the blanket has a really special feature of being bumpy on one side, while smooth on the other! Babies like texture right?
With more baby announcements, come more blankets to add to our series.
Stay tooned for editions coming your way soon!
